When DANA covered the streets with mud, houses and businesses a year ago, many businesses in Horta Sud and La Ribera collapsed. But between the silence and the sadness, they began to hear stories that spoke of something else: of effort, of mutual help and the desire to start again. From bookstores to bakeries, passant per espais de health, art or sport, many local projects have reopened after the disaster. Among them there we find Paper dreams, The Living Room, Clouds of gifts, Health Space, Alegria Beers, Passage, Don Pa Craftsmen, Totenart i Skull Fit Box. Nine different stories with a common thread: the will to resist and to continue making community. Each of these businesses has shown that strength is also in bonds. That behind every shutter that rises again there is a shared story, a network of people who help each other, let them buy, that they recommend, that they trust.
Every stone makes a wall was born from that spirit: to remember that local trade is much more than the economy. It's everyday life, it's identity, it's culture. And above all, it is hope. Nine stories that remind us that, even when the mud covers everything, there are always hands ready to rebuild. Step by step. Stone by stone. Thank you for returning to the affected villages and providing support, today and tomorrow. Thank you to each of the people who have put in the necessary energy to continue filling it with culture, of delights, of health or life our environment. we need each other. MARÍA DE QUESADA
