Taking a look at the cinema made in the countries of the Mediterranean Sea is the objective of the Mostra de València that, this year, reaches its 39th edition renewing its commitment to exploring all types of conflicts, both warlike and social, that occur in that framework. In the OFFICIAL SECTION, sweet films in competition. The Show starts with A private bathroom, by the Valencian Lucía Casañ, which tells the story of a housewife who takes refuge in the bathrooms to give free rein to her true vocation: be a writer. Round between Valencia, Paterna and Borriana, the film explores an aesthetic propia with areas of Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Behind Casañ, the Lebanese Karim Kassem tells us, in Moondove, the harsh survival conditions in their country caused by droughts, while Who do I belong to, by Tunisian Meryam Joobeur, faces the problem of Islamist terrorism from the perspective of a mother who sees how her children fall into the clutches of radicalization.
