It is the second year that the administrations have launched the Fair of Responsible Consumption in the town hall square, this time in December [2-4/12], a few days after the media and imported black friday and before the Christmas buzz begins. The idea is to introduce products, services and activities of companies and entities that promote responsible and local consumption. We can buy organic products, handmade, textiles, of fair trade and sustainable production, and to be careful with waste prevention; and attend conferences and workshops that want to make us aware that it is possible to make a critical and conscious consumption. Another proposal is the one promoted by the Horta de Valencia Council to make citizens aware of the need to pay fair prices for agricultural products, to consume in season and to promote direct sales. It is a market of local products which has already been held in Plaça de la Reina in Valencia and in Burjassot, and that he 18 of December will land in the Campanar neighborhood.
