The Hort dels Montesinos will experience the most emotional edition of Horts Festival after the catastrophic ravine that devastated Picanya and the neighboring municipalities of L'Horta Sud. Mud will be very present this year. the musician Nestor Calderer the sound artist Edu Comelles have recovered the sound of a half-grand piano destroyed by the floods in Paiporta. Despite the fact that the piano was rendered useless by the action of mud and humidity, the strings were still taut and they were able to record the sounds of the devastated instrument to digitally reuse them in a new musical proposal. The result is a work halfway between electronics, ambient music and sound art. Faithful to his philosophy of betting on risky and committed projects, the coexistence of arts and support for young talent, the Horts Festival proposes a very interesting poster this year: Calderer again, together with the choreographer Agnes Balfegó, will present the contemporary dance piece Live Set Axes; Isabel Villanueva will perform his new album Ritual, viola in mà; the music group based in Valencia Mrs. Manteca will offer a concert with a Latin flavor; in which singer flamenco Rocio Marquez will revisit the sounds of the guitar with Anthem vertical, accompanied by the teacher Pedro Rojas.
