From the Sexual Liberation Movement in La Margot, of Margalida Borràs to the maquis Florencio, from social danger to equal marriage, from the songs of Concha Piquer to the anarchist poetry of Lucía Sánchez Saornil, from “Libérate” to cabaret underground of Pluma-2. These are just some of the proper names in a history full of references, silenced events and existences, the history of the Valencian LGTBI community. Of the 29 from September to 6 of October, the Armari de la Memoria organizes in collaboration with the five Valencian public universities Inverted memories. Towards a Valencian history of gender repression and dissent, conferences that aspire to build a specifically Valencian history of repression and sex-gender dissent.
