Many Valencians are impressed by traditional fallas, Yeah, a lot, but we are tired of its eternally Disney aesthetic and recurring theme, carefully tumultuous, naughty if you want, but not at all transgressive. This is why other initiatives have emerged such as the Anti-Fascist Fallas, the Popular and Combative Failures or the I+E Failures, formed by commissions with a desire to innovate and escape conventionalisms. If you want to know this other way of understanding the party, there are many routes to explore the innovative faults of the city. One of them is the one organized by the architect Ricardo Ruíz, member of the Federation of Innovative and Experimental Faults, a two-hour guided walking route through some of the central falls with more artistic and social depth. The intention is that, whenever it goes up, let the authors themselves explain the genesis and message of their creations. And if you want to know more about the I+E Failures, sustainable design and fashion store Poppyns co-edits a sketchbook, explanations and photos of the puppets of all the experimental faults in the capital and some surrounding towns that will be presented at the beginning of March.
