Cercol Coop, sustainable Valencian rice

https://cercol.coop

Teresa and Miquel are the creators of Cèrcol, a cooperative that produces rice in a sustainable way and at a fair price for the farmer. At the beginning of 2020 managed to successfully end a micro-patronage campaign that has made them start their project full of excitement. This month we talk to them because they tell us the reasons why they have launched to produce a rice away from big brands and very restrictive regulations that seem to be made by large business groups. Its social value of incorporating young people committed to traditional Valencian agriculture with sustainable criteria to produce the least impact on the environment makes its product innovative and transparent, while the rice goes directly from the field to your hands to cook it.
