Faust

RIALTO THEATER. Pl. of the City Council, 17

Jaume Policarpo de Bambalina Theater, after his recent success with The Celestina, adapted for the Valencian Institute of Culture (IVC) Faust, the classic text by J.W. Goethe, the most outstanding drama in German literature. The choice of a worldly life full of pleasures, wisdom and youth in exchange for selling his soul to the devil and eternal damnation marks Faust's life and brings to light internal debates such as the scope of human nature or the limits of morality. Goethe is one of the most important creators of European common consciousness and his Faust, essential in Western culture, raises debates as current as it does 500 years. INÉS LUJÁN
