FROM FRIDAY 25/9 ON SATURDAY 10/10

The fourteenth edition of the festival Loops comes on wheels. Oktawia Ścibior and Samory Ba they investigate new possibilities of movement through the use of crutches and rollers as an extension of the body in Within a Thousand Suns [8/10]. Besides, the performance is accompanied by a roller party in the same Rambleta and a skating masterclass in Tinglado 2 [7]. But it doesn't end there. Martha Izquierdo, in Flip [2/10], he devises a fictional double autobiography where personal memories are linked, popular culture and references to sport, adolescence and the construction of identity, as in that masterly comic called Pirouettes, where Tillie Walden recounted her teenage years as a competitive figure skater. Total, there are four international proposals, together with Ma P’tite Dame [29-30/9], on Claire Heggen and his alter ego puppeteer make a non-stereotypical reflection on aging through the body and A-Only [4/10] d’Alessia Sianto, where the body is once again the axis of a piece that explores its life journey.

The motto of this edition is, precisely, "Dance until the end" and aims to promote the activity of older people in the performing arts. Changing third, in the national sphere we find well-known names such as those of Daniel Abreu and Sociedad Doctor Alonso, but we will highlight the two premieres hosted by the festival: recreation [26/9], of Meraki Cia (Asturias), i In fu in cause [25/9], of Boris Orihuela and Jessica Martin (Andalusia). The first is a contemporary dance piece that proposes to return to the game as an act of freedom and rebellion, and the second asks us what a duel of cowboys, a K-pop song and a tablao flamenco. Six premieres distributed between four international companies, sixteen state and fourteen from the Valencian Country will present their proposals in urban areas, unconventional rooms and spaces.
