"Children are cognitive beings with an artistic capacity almost greater than that of adults"

Depedro was the first solo musical project that Madrid's Jairo Zavala (The blue cow, 3000 Men) It started more than ten years ago. After the decade, Knead four study discs, an EP and trips all over the world that on Friday 10/1 They bring it to the Moon room inside the tour Everything will go well. We take advantage of your visit to the city to ask you to entrust us juicy details about your latest projects. Sylvain Pernet

Jairo, Nice day! You will be in Valencia inside the tour Everything will go well, a live album, No audience, compilation of Depedro's great hits.
It is the celebration of a decade of work in which friends who mean a lot, both for their friendship, as for their inspirations, They have come to collaborate and give a new light to the songs. I am very excited to go through Valencia, In principle we had to play in October and could not be, But luckily we have achieved it.

After ten years dedicated 100% up, constantly spinning, Have you had the need to stop and take a look at what?
I'm really going to stop after this tour that has gathered with that of the previous album, The passenger. It is not a necessity in itself, rather a kind of summary and value what has been done. At first I was not very in favor of this project, because I didn't know if I was going to be interested in recording songs that I had already recorded, But they have closed my mouth (laughter). The public's emotion has shown me that it was a good idea and has made the depedro family much today.

Do you like what you see in the rearview?
I am very proud to see how far the project has arrived, I have traveled throughout the planet, I have known wonderful musicians who have filled my suitcase with experiences and colors with which I have colored my songs. It is like a kind of inspirative and creative circle.

In everything it will go well Referents of the Spanish scene such as Luz Casal collaborate, Coke Mesh, Vetusta Morla ... Sharing the stage has been a necessity? Pure fun? Will to give another touch to your songs?
Collaboration is a constant in my career, It is not a thing now. This album was not my idea but it has come out very naturally and has valued the repertoire. I always love to see how my songs, In the mouth and voice of others, They reach other places and that is what happened.

In October it came out Once upon a time, a musical adventure dedicated to children who define as “a kind to childhood to walk through the stars to the moon and look, even in the fragility of the world, It can be dream ". Tell us a little why this project.
As a father I have a little experience and it seemed to me that in our country there is not much music directed towards children without condescension. I think you have to address children at the artistic level with the entire range. The album has done with all my knowledge and heart, And at no time have I wanted to infant this audience, both with the lyrics, as in musical arrangements. Children are cognitive beings with an artistic capacity almost greater than that of adults because they have all intact neurons.

Everything will go well, Once upon a time… Despite the difficulties, Would you define yourself as a dreamer? An eternal optimistic?
Not optimistic, Because I'm not a naif person, But I like being on the side of hope, term that involves the wait. You have to be patient! Because of the experience that life has given me, I see that there is a lot of positive energy on the street, With people who have the ability to give despite misery. So I want to think that on the side of hope we will always find good things.
