For more than one, It's the only weekend of the year when they enter an art gallery. And that is the objective of Abierto València, that we lose respect for these cultural spaces perceived as elitist. Born from collaboration with large artistic institutions in the city such as the Hortensia Herrero Art Center, he VAT or the Museum of Fine Arts, The event combines the joint opening of the galleries of LAVAC (with new addition: The basis Gallery) with four guided routes, performances Musical, and a conversation with international curators. Each gallery makes its own proposal and there are some as suggestive as that of Alba Cabrera, where Antonio Alcaraz presents a project dedicated to the abandoned San Jorge Paper Mill in Xàtiva (paper footprints); o la de Tuesday To Friday, that unfolds the series Parallel Lines in which Thomas Trum follows a self-imposed restriction: the marker moves exclusively in parallel trajectories until configuring geometric structures whose angles suggest volume. Also interesting is the particular look at the universal geometry of Elsa Paricio, in Drawing Cabinet. Sculpture will find a good place in this edition of Abierto València: the female nude with soft and refined forms of Baltasar Wolf (welcome), the textile sculpture made with eco-designed materials from Sarah Viguer Cebriá (Vangar), the volumes built from the word of Sandra Mar (Rosa Santos) or pieces created by Ana Prada (Luis Adelantado) from everyday objects.
