XIII Festival 10 senses

FROM FRIDAY 3 TO SATURDAY 18/5

We know that art and culture are essential catalysts for social action, but sometimes we need to be reminded. Such a precarious sector can only defend itself as a space for exchange, because artists are indispensable figures for the thought and development of society. Hence the motto of the thirteenth edition of the Festival 10 senses: “For culture”. The meeting begins in the City of Arts and Sciences with dance by the French choreographer Sadek weapon [3] and continues with the piece that changed contemporary dance: Phase, four movements to the music of Steve Right, masterpiece of the Belgian dancer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker [4]. The Portuguese dance collective will also perform Beatriz Mira & Tiago Barreiros and the Zagreb Dance Company [8], Dancehousepiu or the duo Atacama [17]. Among the plastic and visual arts proposals, the piece stands out Sparks of Francesca Grilli [10-11], in which girls and boys will be the ones who will read the future of the attendees. The Centro del Carmen will host the concert Plants, ATeec Vol. 1 from the Valencian David Orrico [5], The piece nowhere [5] where the artist Jaume Ibáñez collaborates with participants from the Asindown Association and the ONCE Allegro Choir, and one of the great quotes of this edition, Dance the foreign body (II), of José Ramón Hernández y Osikan [12], Afro-Cuban collective that participates for the first time in the contest. Programming for kids comes hand in hand with Cut Dance [16] y Flowers Theater Dance [18], as well as the exhibition Intimate views and tourss, but we will tell you this better in the section little ones. The closing 18 May will honor what the festival will have been, filling with paint, music and dance the cloister of La Nau. The festival 10 senses is once again an encounter between citizenship and dance, the plastic arts, scenic, music and literature, mixing disciplines, geographies and spaces. GLORIA POZUELO
