VII Festival 10 Senses

festival10sentidos.com

The festival 10 Senses is an event dedicated to the living arts that deserves all the support and recognition, for doing things very well and improving year after year. This edition revolves around the motto “Invisibles”, that is to say, that will show proposals that give visibility to excluded people who are in a situation of marginality. Bringing representatives of the European avant-garde to Valencia for the first time is one of the achievements that makes this festival, directed with skill by Meritxell Barberá and Inma García, stand out.. This year, the first big name is that of an Italian playwright and stage designer Romeo Castellucci –Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale– with its Julius Caesar, Detached Pieces [16 y 17], a conceptual show in which it recovers parts of its history Julius Caesar which in the nineties scandalized and excited in equal parts. You will do it in the beautiful Sant Miquel dels Reis, which will host the festival for the first time next to La Rambleta, the MuVIM and the IVAM, among others. The second proper name is that of the Argentine choreographer Constance Macras –founder of the company DorkyPark– con Hillbrowfication [19], which takes place in a Johannesburg neighborhood where the social order is sustained by the dancing skills of people who must survive xenophobia and violence.. Les Ballets C de la B [20], Sonia Gomez [6], Eduardo Guerrero [11-13], corks [13], Stopgap Dance [20] y The underground [8] complete a poster that, again, surprises again. Hat! S.M.
