The fifth edition of the book festival Syndrome was held last March in format online, and surpassed the pandemic peak, the sixth will be devirtualized in the La Nau cloister, its usual headquarters, bringing together fifty independent publishers and contemporary publishing labels, and giving space to minority formats such as the photobook or the artist's book. In its DNA is the defense of paper as a format and the book sector as a cultural industry, hence its organizers—the visual arts and contemporary culture magazine MAKMA and the Association of Professionals for Contemporary Cultural Action (APACC)— have assembled a programming made from book presentations, round tables and children's and youth workshops.
