The Center del Carme's new series of conversations revolves around books that question the normative model of love and show that there are emotional and sexual relationships beyond the single relational couple model.. In December they get behind the microphones Pamela Palenciano e Iván Larreynaga [17/12], co-authors of If it's love it doesn't hurt. This book is an adaptation of the monologue Not only the blows hurt where Palenciano uses his experience in a violent relationship to unmask the dynamics of sexist violence and power. What he says in it has angered the extreme right—and the association “of abused men”—, who attacks her mercilessly on social networks, and has more than once achieved the cancellation of the show by public administrations intimidated by the virulence of the protests.. The last talk is titled Love is us and they star Maria Acaso —head of the Education Area of the Reina Sofía Museum— and the thinker Brigitte Vasallo [25/3], who will talk about the latter's book, Monogamous thinking: polyamorous terror. This is a historical investigation (and staff) on the centrality of monogamy in our love constructions and its enforcement mechanisms.
