A chef and a DJ Set make up this hybrid device that the Umami collective premiered in October with Chef Pablo Ministerio. THE GULA DJ SET It is a sound and audiovisual session in which the chef cooks a traditional skewer/appetizer in a loop, while the djs samplean live the sounds of the preparation, cooking and plating, only resources available for the session. That is to say, DJs investigate the sound possibilities of food and the action of cooking by amplifying and distorting the sounds that appear.
