CARME CENTER. Museum, 2
The illustrated book fair You Mouth is presented with a poster that demands diversity, the margins and the power of the people, three concepts that are part of the way of understanding the art and life of the graphic agitator Elías Taño, the author of the image this year. The festival takes its name from the book Glory be to you, incident on the Circo Medrano track, by Carlos Pérez and Miguel Calatayud (Kalandraka), about a mischievous African lion who, logically, had until now been the protagonist. But in this fourth edition of Baba Kamo, Taño wanted to put other voices at the center, other speeches. So, Get rid of the lion, the panther is coming! As usual, the international illustration exhibition Babalunga y kamalongos will occupy one of the rooms of the Center del Carme and in the Gothic cloister authors and editors dedicated to illustrated books will sharpen their claws. But point, there is more: a family creative workshop led by Pablo Caracol (with prior registration), a conversation with Catarina Sobral (V International Illustration Prize at the Bologna Fair), Manuel Marsol and Ximo Abadía, a drawing and live music show and a workshop that will teach adults what to read to children ages zero to five and how to do it.
