Finally, the Belgian multinational Easyfairs will be in charge of setting up the long-awaited comic fair in Valencia, after a few comings and goings. It is no coincidence that Belgium – birthplace of Tin Tin and The Smurfs – is the first country invited to Comic Con Heroes, a macro fair that aspires to 20.000 visitors attracted by comics in all their formats and media, and the plethora of actors, benders, authors and illustrators who will pass through Feria Valencia during the three-day conclave. Artists like Gail Simone (EU), multi-award-winning comics and animation writer who has worked as a screenwriter on The Simpsons y Wonder Woman; Chris Sprouse, two-time Eisner winner for his work on the series Tom Strong created with Alan Moore; Brian Stelfreeze, Best known for his fifty consecutive covers for Batman: Shadow of the Bat, the french David B., author of one of the great masterpieces of modern comics, The Rise of the High Evil; and the Belgians Thierry Smolderen, of the greatest specialists in the history of the Bande Desineé, y Hermann, one of the most renowned cartoonists on the European scene, recognized in 2016 with the Grand Prix of the 43 edition of the Angoulême International Festival, one of the highest decorations that a professional of the ninth art can receive throughout his career.

On the national level, the balearic Natacha Bustos known for being the regular cartoonist of Moon Girl y Devilish Dinosaur for Marvel; or the Barcelonan Ruben Pellejero, Alph-Art award for the best foreign work published in French at the Angoulême festival of 1997.
