When de process becomes a painting

UNTIL SUNDAY 25/2
CARME CENTER. Museum, 2

The Valencian Juan Olivares pushes the limits of abstraction by looking for new formulas that, in this sample, they focus on their creative process. Here the work of art is not the final result, but the path taken to get there. Olivares is convinced that the preparation of a primer, the choice of support, brushes and palettes, the slats to remove the paint, discards and leftovers are fundamental in the creation of the work of art and it is worth putting them in the foreground and pointing the spotlight towards them. When de process becomes a paintingit captures the pleasure of the artistic journey symbolized in the brushes used, paint-stained work clothes, canvases that have been prepared with primers to receive broaching, color tests on pieces of cardboard and a few ready-mades.
