A DANA any

FROM MONDAY 2 ON THURSDAY 26/2
BIBL. catarrh. Esteve Paluzié, 2

Coinciding with the first birthday of the dana del 29 of October, the Congress of Deputies inaugurated an exhibition of the Union of Valencian Journalists with 45 images of the catastrophe that went around the world, made by top local photojournalists com Biel Aliño (winner of the most important award for documentary photography in Latin America, el Pictures of the Year Latin America), Miguel Angel Polo, German Caballero, Eva Manez o Miguel Angel Montesinos, who saved his life by clinging to a playground in Paiporta. A any of the dana teach pain, but also solidarity and resilience: civil guards with water up to their necks look for corpses in a flooded parking lot, the footpath of solidarity full of volunteers on the way to Horta Sud… Without corpses, without yellowness or tearful intention, the Valencian photojournalists demonstrate the power of the image.
