Prospective. Felipe Pantone

UNTIL SUNDAY 14/4
CARME CENTER. Museum, 2

Prospective It is the first exhibition in Valencia of a Felipe Pantone enigmatic that hides its face consciously and in it you will find a selection of his most emblematic works and new creations that mark the line of his current interests. He arrived in Torrevieja from his native Argentina in 1986, He started doing graffiti when he was twelve., He made a name for himself by signing as PANT1 and graduated in Fine Arts in Valencia to lay the foundations for an international artistic career.. He received training as a painter at the UPV to, like so many others, put aside academicism and freely search for your own means, approaches, techniques and topics, that could be summarized in the intersection between technology and art. It's a millennial who spent hours of his youth in front of the screen exploring the mysteries of that new invention called the Internet and who today explores the spectrum of light, color and repetition. Pantone says that “light and color are the true essence of visual art” and that, “Thanks to television and computers, “Our perception of color has completely changed.”. Hence I use primary colors (yellow, cyan and magenta) condensed into pixels that investigate light and color, Left behind were the black and white used in its early years to highlight the rest of the colors.. Some works in this exhibition cross the museum's architecture in a dynamic way to break the two-dimensionality, Pantone dares to paint in the air by placing a worm of suspended iridescent vinyl that projects its shadow on the wall and displays a huge mural of horizontal stripes with the representative colors of his work in front of a row of mobile mirrors that take the viewer inside the rainbow pantoniano. The work changes when the visitor's position changes, there's the touch performative that reflects on how the masses receive the enormous amount of images that the 21st century produces. The collision between the analog past and the digital future, the inevitable coexistence between human and machine, are core themes in the work of an artist who works on software and then transfer the information generated to fresh, murals, paintings and sculpture that give skin to what exists in the digital world. Prospective it's color, luz, dynamism, transformation, abstraction, vibration and digital revolution. S.M.
