Peridis

CLOCK BUILDING (PORT). Sc Port, 1E

The emblematic Clock Building, in the port of Valencia, brings us closer to the figure of the no less emblematic José María Pérez "Peridis", known, especially, for being a graphic humorist for more than forty years in the newspaper The country, who has tirelessly published his famous vignettes attached to current news. Not forgetting that he is also an architect, writer and cultural communicator, facets that have also been reflected in his graphic jokes. In the sample Peridis, raised at the initiative of the Port Authority of Valencia and its president, Aurelio Martínez, i from the Quevedo Institute of Humor Arts of the University of Alcalá, and curated by Ester Medán, we will see more than eighty cartoons that will make us relive significant events of the last decades in the world, with that humor so necessary in our days.
