Andrés García Ibáñez He is one of the representatives of Spanish realism, with his great friend Antonio López, with whom he has collaborated on important public sculpture projects and with whom he still goes out to paint outdoors on an easel. But what the painter from Almeria does is respect for tradition and reverence for the classics., embodied in Goya, Sorolla, Zuloaga and Valdes Leal, present in the sample as great references. Up to two thousand, García Ibáñez dedicated himself to classic genres such as landscape, the still life and the portrait, and these are the bulk of an exhibition in which Beethoven also appears prominently as a creative and vital lighthouse in pieces from his youth.; in addition to a work that reinterprets mythological and allegorical themes from a contemporary perspective. His most monumental work also has a place: the religious decoration of the dome and apses of the Santuario del Saliente, an Albox (he dedicated seven years to it); and some very interesting paintings in which he captures the degradation of the interior of his maternal grandparents' house in the same town with his realistic virtuosity.
