Music is pure feeling, emotion, but behind the range of sensations that it provokes, we find the rationality of mathematics. The new exhibition presented by Caixaforum takes its motto “It is forbidden not to touch” to the extreme., because in their rooms they await us more than twenty interactive modules and fifteen audiovisual modules that allow you to get to know the music inside, discover how sound is transmitted, how we hear it and what techniques composers use to write music. Music and mathematics. A sound journey from chaos to the cosmos It is a journey in seven stages that takes us from silence to the harmony of the cosmos.: we will hear a recreation of what the big bang; We will explore the differences between sound and tone, white and pink noise; we will build waves; we will play with frequencies, amplitudes and resonance; We will know the role of mathematics in musical creation; we will discover bioacoustics and zoomusicology, and we will end up listening to the harmonic song of the cosmos.
