Liliane

Espaiivisor. Carrasser, 2

The American Liliane Lijn She was the first woman artist to build kinetic pieces – called Poem machines–, that made words spin at high speed until they vibrated and blurred, back in 1962. Also a pioneer in making art interact, science, technology, eastern philosophy and mythology, was particularly known for the Koan series What we can see in this retrospective dedicated to him by Espaivisor. He starts from his Parisian period in the 70 and reaches up 2011: of mechanical blurring of images by action of speed, to the dissolution of words into light and movement; of its lines in space, to industrial photography; and of the diagram and the graph, to an almost traditional landscape.
