CARME CENTER. Museum, 2
It is 2018 on which one hundred years have passed since the independence of Poland, The Refectory room of the Center del Carme hosts a selection of works by the youngest Polish artists that make up the Krzysztof Musial collection, one of the most important in its country. A red stripe runs across the room with diagonals to unite, especially pictorial work, but also collage and a couple of photographs created from the year 2000 in a country not so far away (geographically), just over three hours by plane. The pieces, that navigate between Hoper and dreamlike surrealism, are accompanied by the artists' reflection on four concepts that are difficult to define: freedom, independence, identity and distance.
