José Segrelles in The Illustrated London News

UNTIL SUNDAY 23/4
AGRICULTURE CASINO. comedies, 12

José Segrelles was very good when he made realistic illustrations, but he was truly enlightened when he delved into the fantasy genre using that color palette so characteristic of him.. So says the film director Guillermo del Toro, confessed admirer, in the video that closes this exhibition with some of the works that the painter from Albaida made at the beginning of his international career for the publication The illustrated London News in their Christmas specials. There is an oil painting in the entire exhibition and it shows that Segrelles's work was drawing and watercolor., a medium that requires delicacy and courage and for which he was truly gifted. S.M.
