Gaza Biennale

Until Thursday 28/8**
THE GRAPA. Puerto Rico, 40

Gaza Biennale is a decentralized exhibition that brings together the work of seven artists from Gaza: Hamada el kept, Jehad jarbou, Liza Madi, There is juha, Hazem al-Zomor, Ahmad Al-Adawi and Osama Hussein. Today we see the Strip through a screen, reduced to death tolls, hunger, bombings and aerial images of debris, but this sample born in Palestine wants us to see it through the eyes of those who live, they create and resist in the midst of the horror caused by the genocidal state of Israel and its acolytes. Invites us to look at Gaza, Not as an abstraction of war, but as a place full of culture and imagination. Through drawings, photograph, digital media and other forms of art, These seven artists want to avoid trauma to become testimony. Evidently, It is not easy to put together an exhibition with original work by besieged artists, That is why some reproductions of the pieces are shown naturally.. The important thing here is the message. This is one of the first exhibitions of the Gaza Biennale which is held in Europe and the first in the new physical space of The Grapa gallery, founded in 2023 with an eye on contemporary political art.
