absolute extremes

POINT GALLERY. Borriana, 37

The exhibition absolute extremes creates a poetic dialogue between the works of Marina Camargo (Porto Alegre, Brazil) and María García Ibáñez (Madrid). Maps are not objective documents that innocently represent the Earth, They are political constructs that hide interests and collect oppressions. Camargo pours his subjectivity into a series of maps that question colonialism and draw attention to the fragility of nature at the service of human beings.. For your part, María García Ibáñez analyzes nature starting from a drawing that focuses on the expressive power of emptiness and establishing links with other disciplines such as archeology., geology and anatomy, and with artisanal processes such as ceramics or textiles.
