The artist's workshop

GONZÁLEZ MARTÍ CERAMICS MUSEUM. Poet Querol, 2

The artist's workshop unfolds ninety photographs that reflect the atmosphere in the creative spaces of painters and sculptors from the end of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th. The images have been selected from the photographic archives of the Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España (IPCE) and are divided into five chronologically differentiated blocks, also in terms of themes and style. Nineteenth-century authors, customism and modernism, society artists (portrait artists), artists who agitated the official art and, lastly, a series of images taken during the Civil War and after the war that show us what the return to reality and the resurgence of modernity was like.
