The photographic commitment

UNTIL SUNDAY 8/12
CARME CENTER. Museum, 2

Marisa Florez, one of the first female photojournalists in Spain, immortalized the entry of Dolores Ibárruri, the Passionflower, and the writer Rafael Alberti in the Congress of Deputies, after his forced exile during Franco's regime. Robert Capa gives us the indecipherable faces of the American soldiers in Vietnam. Man Ray highlights the pressures of women of her time with her portrait of Nana Winding, y Joseph Renau shows his vision of voracious capitalism in “Self-portrait of big capital”. The exhibition The photographic commitment exhibits the best selection of the collections of the Museu d'Art Contemporani Vicente Aguilera Cerni (MACVAC) from Vilafamés, a museum still unknown to many, that hides jewels from artists of the stature of Andy Warhol, Dora Maar o Henri Cartier-Bresson. All works of the institution and, therefore, of this sample, They share the objective of generating awareness in society and causing social changes like only art and, specifically, the photograph, can do.
