GENS PUMPS. Of. The Burjassot, 54
The Norwegian artist Anna-Eva Bergman works on her large-format canvases without a frame, superimposing layers of different materials.: a thick pre-paint, metal sheets (gold or silver leaf) y, In some cases, varnish to achieve even greater density. They are therefore works that, due to their materiality, gain a lot in the live performance., naturally they move and breathe. The new Bombas Gens exhibition is about abstraction, nature (fjords, astros, mountains…), horizons, simple shapes, blues and metallic colors. On a trip to Carboneras in 1962 The artist began to paint her first horizons and continued to do so again in her homeland with the Norwegian landscapes, from sketches and photographs made during a boat trip around the North Cape. In the exhibition, landscapes from the north and the Mediterranean alternate without us appreciating major differences., maliciously playing on ambiguity to completely break the clichés around light. It is also exposed Castile stones–painted during a trip through Spain and Portugal in 1970–, a series of Indian ink on paper that marks Bergman's evolution towards increasingly simple forms and a more restricted chromatic range. Dialogue between North and South to close the year in Bombas Gens. S.M.
