Lighting is a fundamental resource in the exhibition that La Nau dedicates to Andreu Alfaro at the beginning of the academic year. She manages to give a second life to the sculptures of the Valencian by projecting in a thousand ways the ethereal shadows that derive from the solid forms. Alfaro came to the conclusion of what, first of all, he was a draftsman who switched to sculpture because of a space problem. Thanks to this, he has bequeathed us a great public work that is part of the collective imagination of Valencians, But the fact that Andrew Alfaro. Draw the space he wants to highlight precisely his work as a technical draftsman and teach his production process, his way of making innate in the warmth of his workshop. The curators of the exhibition say that he drew the space, who was always experimenting in the hunt for new ways to create spaces. The tour begins with landscape drawings, friends, marine themes - also photographs - and drifts towards the synthetic, schematic drawings by Joan Fuster, of hands and female nudes, models of minimalist sculptures to the extreme or a revision of the Laocoon made of marble, one of the materials that can be seen in the sample next to wire, iron, metal tube, etc. He will reinterpret later The Rapture of the Savinas, again a work wrapped in abstraction. La Nau begins by focusing on the domestic creation process of a very transcendent character in the Valencian artistic scene. S.M.
