Sabemos de ella que era hijastra del rey Herodes, ese títere corrupto nombrado por Roma; que se enamoró de Juan el Bautista, líder espiritual de su pueblo; and?, al ser rechazada por él, utiliza su poder para mandar que lo asesinen y le traigan su cabeza en una bandeja de plata. Belén Rueda protagoniza la brutal historia de este personaje que revela cuánto se ha censurado y criminalizado (y se sigue haciendo) a las mujeres por algo tan natural como el deseo sexual.
