La Bella Otero is a young theater company from Barcelona that brings to the stage the concerns of a generation marked by having lived their youth between two great crises. His first show, Burying Dodot, it was a dystopia of the absurd and the second is this one Instead of love, an auto-fictional romantic comedy about long-distance relationships. The two performers, Pablo Macho Otero and Emma Arquillué, live a long-distance relationship between Barcelona and Paris and have brought it on stage to talk about loneliness, impotence, the euphoria of reunions and the feeling that the best place in the world is a person. A play about what love is like in the 21st century that extracts the humor of love, the absurdity of misunderstandings and the beauty of painful situations. AU
