OLYMPIA THEATER. Saint Vincent the Martyr, 44
Considered the best play of the season on Broadway, and with the challenge of being a sequel to one of the classics of European theater (House of dolls Henrik Ibsen broke with some social molds in an era of rigid morality), the bold text of the young American playwright Lucas Hnath, Nora's return (Dollhouse 2) wake up the more than justified curiosity to know the future of an empowered Nora after fifteen years of that mythical slamming door-escape-redemption. and to see, through a contemporary prism, how universalities typical of the human condition are articulated –per se timeless – with a biting reality. Embodied in the vicissitudes of the characters in which the viewer sees himself inevitably reflected.. Brilliant cast, by the way, headed by Aitana Sánchez-Gijón. The trigger phrase pronounced by Torvald “we have to talk” is one of the most crystalline metonyms exchanged by each of us every day.. The mask of endless atrezzos argumentative and emotional through whose cracks our fellow human beings – our loved ones – glimpse the varied nuances that, after all, draw our minds, our lives, those of each of us.
