The playwright Juan Mayorga wrote The magician from a personal experience: attended a hypnosis show and was rejected as a volunteer. In his work he reflects on the truth, the lie, the conception of reality, the fantasy, and the will and freedom of the human being. The story begins with the character of Nuria, who returns home after being hypnotized in a show and claims to no longer be the same. through her, Mayorga talks to us about the influence of society on our decisions, and about how sometimes we seem victims of a collective hypnosis that tells us where to go or what to do and think.
