After eight years of uninterrupted touring, returns to the Russafa Room The sleeping voice from the Toledo company Euroscena, the stage version of the novel of the same name by Dulce Chacón. In monologue format, brilliantly played by Laura Toledo —Award for Best Female Performance from the Madrid Actors Union in 2019—, The work takes us to the Spanish capital in the middle of the post-war period., from the hand of Pepita Patiño, a young woman in love with a maqui who ends up imprisoned in Ventas prison for her political militancy. The author's novel had already been successfully made into a film when it hit the stage in 2017 to win four nominations for the Max Awards. AU
