FROM TUESDAY 6 ON SUNDAY 18/9
OLYMPIA THEATER. Saint Vincent the Martyr, 44
in a strange land stages the fictitious meeting between Concha Piquer and Federico García Lorca, who never really got to know each other. Directed and written by Juan Carlos Rubio, features Diana Navarro, Alejandro Vera i Avelino Piedad with leading actors. The use of characters identified with each of the two opposing Spains serves to build a common account of the events of the time. The fictitious meeting between the two artists takes place in a Madrid theater where the great lady of the couplet is rehearsing with Rafael León. Lorca is invited to compose a text and be part of the Piquer repertoire, although the real reason is less poetic and more dramatic! ASSUME TAMARIT
