Today the diagnosis is no longer a guaranteed death sentence and the stigma that marked those infected in the years does not weigh on the sick. 80-90. That's what it's about Edmundo, about the first AIDS victim in Chile in the year 1984: a teacher named Edmundo Rodríguez. Using autofiction and activism queer, Ernes Orellana performs a multimedia monologue that reconstructs Latin American sexual-political memory, riddled with stigma, the silence and experiences of homosexual communities during the first years of the HIV pandemic. A work that speaks to us from memory, dissidence and conquest of rights. AU
