From AU we toast the fifth edition of this festival dedicated to short films and which brings us twenty original pieces from all over Spain. A highly recommended programming that shows the good health of the short format in our country. Tapes like Scratch by David Valero, about him bulling, Australia by Tino Escalera, or the beautiful story of childhood The good girls by Clara Roquet are some of the works that can be seen these days. To these, and within the drama genre, pieces like Madre by Rodrigo Sorogoyen (director of Stockholm), about child custody issues after separation, freshwater plum by Roberto Canuto, about identity conflict trans in contemporary China, The broken doll by Dani León Lacave, on child labor exploitation, o Role by Rahmmudi Al-Rahmoun, drama that exposes the couple's conflicts through sexual relations. He thriller will be represented by two high quality works, strangers on the road by Carlos Solano, and the disturbing 9 steps by Marisa Crespo and Moisés Romera, Valencian short awarded with the Méliès d’Argent award for Best European Short Film and that will leave us literally paralyzed. Also with a Valencian name we can enjoy the latest work by the director of Elche Chema García Ibarra, The disco shines, intelligent reflection on the consequences of the economic crisis in our country.
