Four editions of this contest that aims to disseminate and raise awareness about the conflicts that affect LGTBI groups. Organized by the association Lambda, La Ploma brings us thirty unpublished pieces in our community in a program organized into three competition categories and several parallel sections.. The contest dedicates a special section to reality trans in rural areas and, especially, to the clash between customs and traditions and the emergence of digital media and the values coming from the urban world. This section has six documentaries, among which are The silk and the flame by Jordan Schiele, presented at the last edition of the Berlinale and which addresses the patriarchal problem in the family of rural China, o The next guardian by Arun Bhattarai that will bring us closer to the conflicts of a family in charge of a temple in Bhutan faced with the problem of the lack of continuity of their work in their children, one of them a child trans whom no one wants to accept as a viable candidate. The theme trans will also play a leading role in the official competition section with two productions, transvestite bixa by Claudia Priscila and Kiko Goifman, y Miss Maria: the mountainside by Ruben Mendoza. Documentaries close the programming My wonderful west Berlin de Jochen Hick, reflection on homosexual identity in West Berlin from the appearance of the wall to the present, y See a woman by the Catalan Mónica Rovira, recent premiere at festivals such as the DA' in Barcelona and the Seville Film Festival. Both directors will be at the festival in a meeting with the public.

Next to the official section, La Ploma offers us six other feature films in its Panorama section. They are tapes that, despite having received recognition from the most prestigious international festivals, They remain unused in our country. In this section we find titles such as Good manners by Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra, Silver Leonardo at the Locarno Festival and Critics' Award at the Sitges Festival, o The wild boys by Bertrand Mandico, a fable queer where the adventure genre is mixed with Fassbinder's cinema and which would also win the Nuevas Olas award at the last edition of the Seville festival. These two tapes are joined by the titles Electric body by Marcelo Caetano, I am truly a drop of sun on earth by Elene Naveriani, on the problem of refugees from Eastern Europe, Today I leave at three by Clarisa Navas, about a women's soccer team, y four days, four nights by Jérôm Naveriani.

In addition to feature films, La ploma offers us a short program with up to 18 short pieces divided into four thematic programs: 1) Loving bonds: stories focused on affective constructions of all kinds, 2) Reveal silences: stories that remind us of the difficulty of living sexuality freely and expressing one's identity in different contexts of repression; 3) Stories in transit: pieces that offer a diverse vision on how to do teaching about transsexuality; y 4) Of desire and identity: on the importance of sexual desire in the construction of collective identities. Besides, The La Ploma program is completed with multiple parallel activities among which we highlight Show La Ploma in the Towns, that will take the projections to other towns in the community.
