all revolutions (the real ones, those that survive the implacable eye of History) They usually start in the silliest way. One can spend days, weeks, whole years, decades even, speculating, writing texts, organizing rallies, concocting soflames, collecting reliable testimonies, searching the annals of human thought for the arguments necessary to give consistency to its foundations so that there is no fissure in your program that serves as an excuse for the enemy to oppose the great change that is to come.. Y, suddenly, pufff, a chance event ruins all the work, it goes over you and makes you shavings. Jokes that fate plays. The issue happened as follows.
Later, when they wanted to recount what happened, No one was able to reconstruct the events accurately.. I was in the packaging area, studying a beef offer, when a piercing scream was heard. Quickly, All the supermarket customers ran bewildered to the perfumery section., Where did we think those voices came from?. When we arrive, two security guards were already holding the guy, a portly looking middle aged man, although disheveled, who struggled violently with them. What's happening?, I asked. But, then, no one could say anything. Then, the initial doubts and the many speculations (people like to talk about what they don't know) they were clearing. Apparently, the guy had arrived at the supermarket, the shopping list written down on a piece of paper, when he realized that, for the third consecutive day, He couldn't find the brand of shampoo he liked so much on the corresponding shelf.. Angry, He immediately called the store manager, whose explanations (someone would make excuses) It seems that they did not calm the man, His pride was hurt by what he considered to be a deliberate assault by the company on his basic rights as a consumer.. The man demanded that the manager replace the shelf., but he claimed that this was no longer possible and swore that he had done it that same morning, but an hour later, the product was gone, fact that the guy didn't seem to believe, blaming the problem on a conspiracy by the establishment's management to make her have dirty hair. The manager's offer to take another bottle of a different brand was of no use. (and free), Well, the guy argued that it didn't leave his hair as loose and silky as his, which, besides, he added as if it were a compelling argument, had been using for many years.
Pronto, The problem began to worsen when the people who had gathered around the man, began to get involved in the topic. And I think that if the manager, supported by security guards, I wouldn't have tried, harassed by the image of disorder that was giving, evict everyone in such a violent way, nothing would have happened. There I must say that the guy had little eye. Even so, I still think that, If all clients had remained together in our demands, Things wouldn't have gotten out of hand either and the manager would have ended up giving in. (There's no doubt he was lying about the shampoo., whose reserves, as another guy said, they were holding in warehouses). Some supported the man, loudly demanding their inalienable right to go (y, above all, to feel) clean, right from which those responsible for the super could not ignore without assuming the usual consequences. “The rights of one are the rights of all.”!”, those on this side shouted. So, to make their positions stronger, to the guy's prerogative to buy his favorite shampoo, other demands or protests were soon joined, reproaches undoubtedly pending for a long time, How was the fact that in that supermarket they were always changing the products around?, something that confused and disoriented the clientele and that some presented as a clear abuse of power. It immediately became evident that each of these demands hid, In fact, another underlying issue. That was, rather, a call; against the manager, of course, but also against the deception represented by offers that hid a general increase in prices. It was a cry against the system and, especially, against that seclusion that subjected us all. On the other hand, another group, no less numerous than the first (Let's just say that half of those gathered around the shampoo man), seeing that their entire purchase for the day suddenly went to waste, They opposed the revolt head-on., siding with the manager and his lackeys with the argument that it did not seem acceptable that, for the sake of one, everyone else will be annoyed, that protesting was good, but you had to eat something, and that was also an inexcusable right.
Pronto, the case was jumping from supermarket to supermarket. Sometimes it was a problem due to the lack of chicken, in another there were no frozen pizzas, other times it was a shortage of detergent and, in another case, two guys ended up in the hospital after a knife fight over a simple can of sardines (which was later found to be expired). The case hit the newspapers, then to social networks and television and, little by little, The anger ended up spreading throughout the country that was left, So, again divided into two clearly irreconcilable blocks. Who would win that war is something that no one dared to give a prediction about.. Yo, yes I am sincere, I was so confused that I didn't know which of the two groups to belong to.. Weighing the options, I understood that both factions were partly right.. The truth, I have always been very indecisive about these things. But, oye, for only one that is not left, I told myself. Long live the revolution! GERARDO LEON
