The exhibition Black November we have traditionally included it in our section Proposalbecause it brings together different formats: exhibitions, dinner Carvalho in tribute to Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, theater (absent from the program this year)… But the undisputed king is the cinema, which displays a good selection of current black genre films, eminently European and awarded at festivals, and classics of world cinema like The bribed de Fritz Lang (1953) which we can see as closing. before, they will have been projected, others, the torbadora Titanium [11], Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2021; Ariaferma [4] de Leonardo di Costanzo, Donatello's David 2021 to the best script; or the portuguesa Vitalina Varela [13], awarded at the Locarno Festival 2019. On the other hand, the festival once again bets on contemporary audiovisual creation with the piece The blood of a poet [26], based on The blood of a poet, an experimental and surreal film that will be first work by Jean Cocteau al 1930. The musician Roberto Martín and the video artist Vic Pereiró will do a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic to show that, almost a hundred years after its premiere, it remains a valid and avant-garde experimental work.
