We end the year talking about olive oil in December of Vinça. And we do it in a special way, even, a little strange. Precisely in a year where the lack of Valencian oil is very clear - given the extreme climatic variation and the propensity of pests and fungi in the olive trees this year -, we claim our olive oil with a Cocentaina tradition that has its origins in the Corriola festival or the Suca. A festival held in Santa Barbara (and currently the 8 of December) i that originally celebrates the first taste or sucada d'oli. The tradition, recovered a few years ago, is accompanied by a roll of bread, called “corriola” and a red sausage and it is one of the best times to visit the capital of the County and enjoy one of the most authentic Valencian festivals.
