Pepper tomato

For those of us who do not consume fresh tomatoes during the winter, the joy of seeing them reappear in the field is priceless. For those of you who didn't know, the tomato is a summer fruit that goes out with the first cold spells. Conreated in the Mediterranean since it was taken from America, the level of adaptation and variation in the territory of the tomato is still a source of study. In it Valencian catalog of traditional varieties of agricultural interest a few Valencian varieties are collected from the Seed Bank of the Generalitat Valenciana. One of the best and sweetest is the pepper tomato, so called because of its pyriform shape similar to a paprika. Typical of the garden in Valencia, less and less is seen each time, among other reasons because the fruit produces little seed, thing that, per contra, makes it especially good to eat, since everything is meat.
