With the Veles e Vents building as the official headquarters this year, Open House Valencia returns for its fifth edition to introduce us to the city's architecture through a wide variety of events: doors open in more than seventy buildings, urban routes, workshops, excursions, guided tours, exhibitions, round tables... There will be activities around the old Casa de la Beneficencia where the prehistory and ethnology museums are located today, and about the architect Francisco Javier Goerlich, a capital figure in the construction of current Valencia. This edition will include in its circuits visits to emblematic buildings such as Veles e Vents, the Palace of the Marquises of Malferit or Gulliver Park. They also repeat the great hits of previous editions, like the Green Space, the Bodegas Vinival or the Palauet of Nolla de Meliana, among many others. Meliana will participate for the second consecutive year as a Guest Municipality of the festival and, as a novelty, Llíria joins the initiative this year. Both municipalities will offer guided tours, routes and an Esmorzaret OHV during the weekend of 14 y 15/10 of 10 a 20h. On the other hand, Visits will be made to exceptional homes located in different areas of the Valencian Community, guided by their architects. For example, el 7/10 The Refugio en la Viña route will be taken where the house of Ramón Esteve will be visited, with food and wine tasting overlooking the vineyards included. The execution of the various initiatives of the festival is possible thanks to architecture studios such as Ramón Esteve that promote their projects, as well as volunteers in charge of guided tours of iconic architectural works (open walks). The highlight of the festival is celebrated on the days 21 y 22 October, but throughout the month there are related satellite activities.
