Although it is not as ubiquitous as the feast of Sant Blai, the Candlestick, the second of February, is an ancestral and very popular party throughout the Valencian Country. Pagan festival that Christianity managed to cover, Candlestick is considered a predictor of the weather, because it is located right in the middle of the winter season: "If the Candlestick cries, winter outside; I laughed, neither winter nor summer. This is what Valencian folk wisdom says at the cinnamon festival (o candles) with very diverse typical meals: fast food in Rossell, cakes in Albocàsser, the cake of the Virgin of the Candelas to Fuenterrobles, distribution of sweet breads in Ademús, beef liver pan in Almassera, the raffle of a cake in Manises, Donuts and bacon in Xixona, another blow to Manuel, canutesa Benijòfar i, even, crusted rice and monjávenes throughout Baix Segura.
