Hermann is the internationally acclaimed author, with a chest swollen with pride, by the Valencian Community Comic Festival. The presence of the Belgian was planned, a BD classic, in the edition of 2020, which was suspended due to pandemic, and they have managed to recover it to give a good dose of quality to the festival Splash! that definitely takes off after a few difficult years. For the entire culture in general. will also come Jan (A Life of Cartoons Award), a classic of the national comic scene thanks to Superlópez; y Jorge Carrión y Javier Olivares (draw yourself from the winner Las Meninas), brand new winners of the award for Best National Album awarded by the festival for the innovative Warburg & Beach, bound without spine and reading in two directions. Y Riki Blanco, illustrator who deals with a space of satirical graphic humor in The country and has collaborated with The New Yorker o Liberation, and to which Splash dedicates an exhibition following the publication of a compilation of his work in The poetry we deserve. This year's second exhibition comes with originals from ten thousand elephants, a graphic novel from Reservoir Books about the Spanish colonial past in Equatorial Guinea. Other big names that are making noise this edition are those of the French Catherine Meurisse, awarded by The great spaces, an autobiographical exercise sprinkled with the acid humor that he proclaims in the magazine Charlie Hebdo; and the Valencian Ana Penyas, awarded by everything under the sun, about the lost battle of the garden against the brick and of the neighbors against the tourists.
