DEL DIVENRES 24 ON SUNDAY 26/6
ESPLANADA VELES E VENTS. Moll de la Duana, s/n
Repeat the Independent Publishing Fair for the second year at the Veles e Vents esplanade with the intention of spurring publishing houses that do not belong to large conglomerates or go hunting for best-seller, especially to those who publish in Valencian and are dedicated to illustrated self-publishing. The event is mainly devoted to the exhibition and sale of books, but it will be enriched with a wide program of activities aimed at children, juvenile and adult, such as book launches and signings. There will be a talk with the director of the Valencian delegation ofEldiario.es, Adolf Beltran, and Africa Ramírez, as head of the publishing house Balandra Edicions, in which they will try to reveal the most important keys to being able to survive in the world of independent publishing. Two round tables on social economy within the publishing world and how to make a living from the art of writing and drawing; and the presentation of the books The dancing rhythm (Malian Editor) o Pasolini's Rome: Dictionary Urban (Ed. Doctor Sax) complete the schedule. Among those confirmed for this second edition we find Bullent editions, Greyhskull Comics, Per-r-ucho, editor of The 70’s The zone, a collection of fragmentary books that review the psychotropic moment experienced in the seventies within Western culture; and the crown jewel, the great Half Cow, National Award for the Best Editorial Work 2018 for its exquisite catalog and the magnificent quality of its books.
